That's right folks, it's Oscar time!
Following yesterday's nomination announcements we know which films will be vying for Oscar glory in the landmark 90th Academy Awards. Our attention was naturally drawn to the short film nominees and this year has delivered a line-up that is truly diverse in terms of subject matter and style. Whether it's a love letter to basketball, a hijinx-filled amphibious love story or anything in between, this year's animated short film nominations do not skimp on depth or creativity. DEAR BASKETBALL
Dir: Glen Keane
On the eve of his retirement from basketball, NBA legend Kobe Bryant describes his love for the game, which began when he was a young child. From his youthful dreams of glory to his 20-year career, Byant describes how he and basketball have given each other all they have.
GARDEN PARTY
Dirs: Florian Babikan, Vincent Bayoux, Victor Caire, Theophile Dufresne, Gabriel Grapperon, Lucas Navarro
A luxurious villa has become home to amourous, hunfry and accident-prone frogs and toads. While they enjoy the bounties on offer, including cavier and macaroons, the amphibians uncover the whereabouts of the villa's owner.

LOU

Lou, the guardian of a lost and found box at an elementary school, tries to teach young bully J.J. that giving to other kids will make him feel much better than stealing from them.

Even though Sam's father is hardly ever home because he is often away on business trips, he is able to connect with his son by teaching him to pack a suitcase.

REVOLTING RHYMES

The Wolf from the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood reveals the true and twisted story of his adventures and those of others in his world, including Snow White, Cinderella and Jack, climber of beanstalks. Based on the much-loved rhymes written by Rhoald Dahl and illustrated by Quentin Blake.
